Tape Art in short means all art that is mainly created with adhesive materials. While tape
and other materials alike have always been used by artists since they exist, Tape Art as a
term came up way later when some artists decided to not only use it as a supportive tool
but as the main medium for their artworks. The unique features of adhesive materials led to
a wide range of new artistic approaches.
The Tape Art Convention is the only exhibition in the world focussing only on Tape Art.
We aim to show the variety of styles and artists of this small but very active scene, in Berlin
and internationally. It is not only an exhibition but a platform for artists and visitors to get
in touch, foster artistic exchange and bring Tape Art to a wide audience. Tape Art as an art
form is a wonderful medium to get creative with right away. On the other hand the use of
tape comes with limitations. In workshops and interactive installations we teach, inspire and
empower the visitors to get in touch with the arts in a playful way. Visitors a explicitly invited to be part of the exhibition!
The Tape Art Convention is organised by Tape That Collective Berlin in cooperation with
Warehouse Visions, Klebeland Berlin, Alley and Cre8Tapes. All workshops are hosted by
Tape Art Academy.

In order to make the TAC21 an informative and interactive experience we offer a range of different activities. The main part of the exhibition is of course the actual art, which we show in the art gallery and with installations and murals. Besides there will be a cinema in which we want to give a lively insight of artists at work. To get a deeper impression you can book a guided tour hosted by Tape That. If you even want to create your own artwork take part in one of our workshops on the weekends.
